Get your skates on for the UK's second annual National Inline Skating Week. This page is is a point of contact for skaters throughout the UK to start, join and coordinate skating events.

Listings for free beginner lessons and group skating events are being updated on a daily basis and we will also list discounted specialised instruction.

The UKISA is not responsible for organising these events and take no responsibility for your safety on them. However, we can offer free consultation on lesson and event promotion in your area.

Sunday Rollerstroll round the “Green” medium pace, everyone welcome, just turn up. Skaters need to be competent at stopping to cope with hills.

Lesson

Sun 21st, 11-12pm. Free skate lesson - open to complete beginners and those wanting to improve technique.

Location: Meet in East (Andrews) Park, Southampton between the Richard Andrews statue and the Queen's Peace Fountain.  The park is located at the top end of town between the Civic Centre building and Solent University.  If it is raining or the ground is wet the session will not go ahead.

Social skate

Sun 21st May, 12:30-1:30pm
'Sunday Stroll' - Skate around the City - relaxed, skate around town open to all ages and abilities but must be able to stop safely!  The idea is to meet other skaters, have some fun and possibly arrange regular meetings in Southampton.  Meet at the Queens Peace fountain at 12.30pm.  The route hasn't been finalised but should take you through the parks, the city centre and possibly up to the Common.  There will be no big hills!  The skate should last an hour or so and finish where it started.

Both the lesson and social skate are free.  To get an idea of numbers for lessons and the Sunday Stroll please call or email before turning up.  Requirements for lessons: skates (must have a heel brake), helmet, pads, sense of humour!  Nearest Parking is available opposite the park in Kings Park Road and opposite the Library by the Civic Centre.

Sun 20th: Skate from Mumbles to Swansea (5 miles) via the Swansea promenade. Meet outside Verdi's restaurant, Mumbles, 1:30pm
