
There is currently no legal requirement to be able to teach, be qualified, have insurance or hold an up to date background check in order to be able to offer instructional services in the UK. However, becoming qualified does have certain advantages.

C Level - For skaters wishing to obtain the most basic level of instructorship - the inline skating coach. Going and stopping. Next course: TBC
IDP1 – For skaters wishing to qualify as an instructor teaching Beginner to Intermediate techniques. Next courses: 1) Sat 26- Mon 28 August 2) Sat 2- Mon 4 September 2006 Course (1) finishes on a bank holiday Monday
All successful female candidates receive a £65 reimbursement of their course fee.
IDP2 – For skaters wishing to qualify as an instructor teaching Intermediate to advanced techniques (requires IDP1). Next course: TBC

The C and IDP courses are designed as the fast-track route to becoming a qualified inline skating instructor or examiner. They are open to all skaters over 16 and are suitable for those wishing to markedly improve their personal skating performance, anyone wanting a break or a change from their career or simply the quickest way to become a qualified instructor.
Making the transition from skater to instructor requires great effort but with top-class examiners and a certification program that has been developed worldwide you have the best opportunity to push your abilities to match those of your capabilities. Due to the various personal and technical requirements in making the transition from instructor to examiner entry to this programme is by invitation only.
